Kartago Dates, the producer of Deglet Noor organic dates, inherits an ancestral tradition passed down for generations in the Horchani family, who have cultivated several varieties of thousand-year-old dates for over two centuries. This family-owned and operated business was founded upon the establishment of the largest date palm plantation in the Tunisian Sahara, located in the valley of Saba Abar, at the heart of Djerid Oasis. The unique appearance, taste, smell, and quality of Deglet Noor dates make them the best in the world.
State-of-the-Art Facilities
Kartago Dates has state-of-the-art processing units equipped with sophisticated and ultra-modern machinery to handle millions of tons of the world's highest quality dates annually. In addition, a dedicated farming unit oversees the pollination, irrigation, and manual harvesting of the dates. The company exports these dates to numerous countries across all five continents. After the dates are processed and selected, they are stored in cold rooms with a total storage capacity of over 22 million pounds.
